Antique c. 1920 Penn Lines RR Oak Wall Mount Telegraph Informational Wall Panel

This is a very unusual, rare antique c. 1920 informational wall panel that appears to be (and I was told it was) from a railroad telegraph station. The informational roll is heavy paper colorfully lithograph printed with many diagrams including telegraph codes, world flags, tools, wireless telography, business forms, shorthand, and business writing (cursive), and a print of a Pennsylvania Lines steam train, among other things. On the back panel is a printed map of North and Central America on canvas- backed paper.

The information roll is attached at the top and bottom to spools that turn to advance the roll up or down. The spools and frame are solid oak and the frame has a compartment near the bottom for pens, brochures, or other items. Condition is good, but there are a few tears in the roll, some of which have been taped, but others have not. There is a piece of paper missing along the edge near the bottom of the roll, but it is securely attached to spool. Nothing is loose and it rolls up or down easily. There is a hanging wire on the back for wall mounting. Outer dimensions are 23" L x 17" H x about 2 deep.
